The Mission
We are seeking an exceptional Senior Full-Stack Engineering Lead to be a foundational technical leader for our new product engineering team. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for designing, building, and launching a new suite of digital products, including a crucial internal company intelligence platform. You will report directly to the CTO and be a core member of the Technology Leadership Team, responsible for setting the engineering culture, establishing development standards, and ensuring the technical quality of all products.

What You'll Lead
  • Architectural Vision & Execution: You will actively contribute to the design and implementation of the technical architecture for our new Next.js and React-based applications, working closely with our entire technology organization, stakeholders, and partners. Your focus will be on building scalable, resilient, and performant systems that support both internal and customer-facing initiatives.
  • Engineering Standards: You will define and champion our way of working for code. This includes establishing best practices for code quality, security, and performance. You will be responsible for defining our development lifecycle, including version control, CI/CD pipelines (leveraging GitHub and Vercel), and deployment processes.
  • Team Leadership: While this is a hands-on role, your primary objective is to lead by example. You will mentor, coach, and empower a distributed team of full-time and elastic engineering resources, partnering with our Data organization as well. You will be responsible for fostering a culture of high performance and quality.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: You will be a key partner to our Product, DevOps, Data, and Delivery teams. You will work directly with our integration partner and our internal resources to ensure a seamless and efficient development process.
  • Product Delivery: You will own the full-stack development lifecycle for our key products, ensuring timely delivery and a focus on measurable business outcomes. You will be responsible for bringing our new platforms to life, including our company intelligence and Optimizely integrations.

What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is a visionary builder with deep technical expertise and a proven track record of strategic leadership. You likely demonstrate:
  • Experience: A minimum of 7+ years of progressive, hands-on experience in a software engineering role, with a strong focus on building and leading full-stack web applications.
  • Platform Expertise: Expert-level proficiency with Next.js and React. You have a deep understanding of modern JavaScript, RESTful APIs, and cloud-based architecture.
  • CMS Integration Mastery: Deep, proven experience architecting solutions that integrate with a Headless CMS, specifically Optimizely. Experience building custom administrative layers is a significant advantage.
  • Technical Acumen: You are a senior-level full-stack developer who is comfortable across the entire stack, from frontend state management and component design to backend logic and database integration. You possess a strong understanding of CI/CD principles and have experience working with platforms such as GitHub Actions and Vercel.
  • Leadership: A proven track record of setting engineering standards, mentoring engineers, and fostering a culture of technical excellence. You can rally a team around a common goal and influence best practices across the organization. You have experience working with a geographically dispersed team.
  • Business Acumen: The ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and a strong passion for solving real-world problems with technology.
