Our Life Science Connect Digital Content Team plays a pivotal role in connecting our clients and our readers. The Digital Content Managers (DCMs) are responsible for the production and optimization of content for an assigned set of customers. In addition, the DCMs manage the promotion of client content in our regular and custom newsletters, as well as our publications’ social media outlets. When done right, we are viewed as a partner, an extension of our clients' marketing and sales enablement team. We seek to understand, work unbelievably hard to learn what is needed, and then are relentless in our pursuit of providing real help.

To provide the highest level of support to our ever growing list of clients, we need to add a Digital Content Intern to our team in Cranberry, PA.

The ideal candidate will possess a fluency in digital tools and website management frameworks such as WordPress. To be successful in this role you will need some experience managing digital content related to the following: HTML, CSS, content management, social media, and Web publishing.

 

  • Client Administration and Communications
    • Ensure client Audience Access programs operate without issue throughout.
    • Explain production procedures and best practices to internal stakeholders.
    • Help Business Development Reps identify accounts that need more, new, or varied content.
  • Client Content Posting and Optimization
    • Responsible for ensuring client content is posted and optimized within the stated 5-business day turn-around time. Ensure the posting of editorial content associated with clients by the stated deadlines.
    • Evaluate and read the content to determine if the piece is a fit for our sites, the proper document type, buyer’s journey, technical tags, content theme tags, and any copyright permissions.
    • Write and optimize content titles and unique short summaries, long form summaries, and abstracts, based on the key points from the content pieces, for reader engagement and search engine optimization.
    • Retrieve and resize images to our standards for posting.
    • Review customer websites/blogs/social media on a regular basis and find content for posting.
  • Client Content Newsletter Administration
    • Populate email newsletters monthly to ensure clients receive Audience Access inclusions. May include setting deadlines and collecting specific content.
    • Align content to themed newsletter sends through the mapping of content across the upcoming month.
    • Collaborate with the editorial team to identify timely and applicable editorial content.
    • Select and schedule content for quarterly Sourcing Center newsletters and other special edition themed or product newsletters.
    • Edit and optimize all content titles and summaries within general and custom newsletters for formatting, spacing, and reader engagement.
    • Create subject lines, preheaders, and newsletter titles for a variety of newsletter types.
  • Project Management as needed.
  • Reporting as needed.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS
  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in digital content, communications, or related field
  • Excellent communicator - written and verbal
  • Good proofreading and copy-editing skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Capable working alone or within a small team
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS
  • Technical background in communications or life sciences
  • Prior SEO training and experience
  • Knowledge of SEO copy writing
  • Experience writing original copy for the web
